I. Spectroscopy course

held on the 15th & 19th of January in Münster

Introduction to photosynthetic electron transport chain with focus on PSI and PSII.

II. Biological macromolecules

held on the 18th of June in Münster

Short overview of dimensions and limitations of molecule detection. Brief introduction to NMR and AFM; more detailed introduction to x-ray crystallography. Furthermore it was shown where to get pdb files, how the files are structured and how pdb files can be displayed and visually inspected. A short presentation of VMD was given.

Homework is not obligatory. Might help in the exams though ;) Further questions can be asked in room 21 / IEB.

III. Python introduction course

held on the 2nd of July in Münster

Introduction to the python scripting language was given. Data types, their connection and operations are illustrated using some examples. Course was done in coop with Michael Specht
